The Gin Club is a great place, the employees were all friendly and quite fast behind the bar - which for me makes a huge difference as I don't wanna spend half an hour trying to get a drink or queueing for the toilette. That's another thing! The toiletes, both, are clean and quite glamorous! I love the cocktails and the place itself, I just think the location is bad... From Proof, we caught a cab to The Gin Club (TGC) in Fallowfield. Now this is a venue I like. With a 1920’s art deco theme, innovative menu, funky soundtrack and friendly, efficient staff, it hits all the right notes. The problem with this place is the quality’s wasted on a student crowd. The downstairs bar space in particular is smart, intimate and sexy as hell. It should be in town. On Bridge Street, I reckon.

HAVE a night off from all this gloomy talk of recession and take yourself to Fallowfield’s newest drinkerie, The Gin Club: an altogether upbeat and enjoyably glam place to be. 

With an Art Deco vibe upstairs and a sexy lounge bar set up in the basement, The Gin Club brings something a bit different to the student bar circuit which, after five other openings recently, is suddenly feeling very lively indeed. 

The Gin Club is situated in the former Karma on Wilmslow Road and, as the name suggests, isn’t your stereotypical student drinking hole.
